Splendora Junior High School has been recognized as a Capturing Kids' Hearts National Showcase campus for the past two years. Teachers prepare future high school students to be world changers. Children participate in a long list of clubs and organizations, including FFA, band, cheerleading, choir, National Junior Honor Society, robotics club, journalism, student council and theater. They can also join a wide array of athletic teams: volleyball, football, basketball, cross country, track, softball, tennis and soccer.

The school has adopted five basic beliefs. The first states Splendora Junior High School is student-focused: "We believe the greatest outcomes result when students come first." The four other beliefs stress positive and supportive relationships; healthy, collaborative culture; servant leadership; and all students’ learning experiences should honor their potential.
